Chizimi is a special polyester thread that sews like regular thread until it is exposed to steam. Then thread shrinks 30% to create shirring and gathers. Use in bobbin only for less puckering or use in both bobbin and as top thread for more puckering. Will work with any fabric, but works best with lightweight fabrics such as silk, chiffon, or organza.

Tips for Use:
Use in the bobbin with thread to match fabric on the top
Use on the top and in the bobbin both (thread comes in white only)
Use two strands of the shrinking thread on the top in combination with a Schmetz Double Eye Needle (the shrinkage will be more than with a single layer of thread) Fabric is stitched wrong side up with thread to match fabric in bobbin.
Use with decorative stitches
Use in the bobbin on embroidery designs
