HATS VIEW A, B & C

Designed for stretch knits only with 25% stretch across the grain. Suggested Fabrics: Interlock, stretch terry, stretch velour, fabrics with spandex Lycra®.

VIEW A

Four panel hat is double and has a turned up cuff. The letters of the alphabet are included for satin stitching, embroidery or painting.

Material Required: 1/4 yd (0.25 m) of 60" (152 cm) wide fabric.

VIEW B

Two panel hat is double with fold-up cuff and peaks which tie at the top of the hat.

Material Required: 3/4 yd (0.70 m) of two different colors of fabric 11" (28 cm) wide (minimum width).

Notions: Thread.

VIEW C

Two panel hat is double with fold-up cuff and peaks with purchased pom-poms.

Material Required: 3/4 yd (0.70 m) of two different colors of fabric 11" (28 cm) wide (minimum width).

Notions: Thread, two pom-poms.

BIBS VIEW D, E & F

Designed for woven and firm knit fabric. Suggested Fabrics: Cotton, cotton types, lightweight terry, textured knits.

VIEW D

Double bib has lace trim, satin stitched scalloped edge, satin stitched outlined hearts and ribbon ties.

Material Required: 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of 20" (50 cm) wide fabric (minimum width).

Notions: Thread. 1 1/4 yd (1.15 m) of 2" (5 cm) wide lace or eyelet, 5/8 yd (0.60 m) of 1/4" (6 mm) wide ribbon, 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of 20" (50 cm) wide lightweight fusible interfacing and tear-away material.

VIEW E

Double bib has applique and outside edge is trimmed with rick-rack. Neckline binding and ties are from bias tape.

Material Required: 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of 20" (50 cm) wide fabric (minimum width).

Notions: Thread, 1 yd (0.95 m) of jumbo rick-rack, 1 yd (0.95 m) of double fold bias tape. Optional- 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of lightweight fusible interfacing 10" (25 cm) wide. Applique: Scrap pieces of fabric, paper backed fusible web and tear-away material, small bow.

VIEW F

Double bib has applique, ties and outside edges are finished with bias tape.

Material Required: 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of 20" (50 cm) wide fabric (minimum width).

Notions:Thread, 1 7/8 yd (1.75 m) of double fold bias tape. Optional- 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of lightweight fusible interfacing 10" (25 cm) wide. Applique: Scrap piece of fabric, paper backed fusible web and tear-away material.

LAMB

Body is designed for light to medium weight woven fabrics and is lightly stuffed with polyester filling. Head is stuffed and made from faux fur. Hands, feet and lamb's toy are made from soft knit fabrics, such as stretch terry and interlock. Toy is stuffed and attached with a ribbon to pocket.

Material Required:

Fabrics Contrast I & II for body - 3/8 yd (0.35 m) of 45" (115 cm) Wide.

Fabric Contrast III for hands, feet and lamb's toy - 1/4 yd (0.25 m) of 25" (64 cm) wide (minimum width).

Short pile faux fur for head - 1/4 yd (0.25 m) of 18" (45 cm) wide (minimum width).

Scrap piece of Fabric Contrast IV for inner ears.

Scrap piece of felt for toy's ears.

Notions: Thread, 1/2 yd (0.50 m) of piping, 3/4 yd (0.70 m) of 1" (2.5 cm) wide ribbon, 1/2 yd (0.50 m) of 1/4" (6 mm) wide ribbon, embroidery floss, "screw on" animal eyes, purchased rose or bow, polyester filling.
