Cross Over Top by Kayla Kennington

Cross Over Top: Flattering Asian inspired cross over top. The ties extend from either side of the lapel ends and tie to ties from the side seams (at the ribs). This way of fitting makes it easy to get a rather fitted garment without using darts or gathers. The pattern is made of nine panels, the front two cut for a cross-over neckline. The dolman sleeves are optional, without them this makes a very unique vest. Fabric suggestions range from soft floaty silks to corduroy or ethnic icats. Notions: Unlined version: 3 spools of serger thread (rayon can be used), 1 spool of thread for connections (rayon or metal thread can be used). Lined version: beads may be used for connections.
