Versatile 3 piece suit. The large, comfortable jacket has set in dolman sleeves which allow ample room for movement. Leaving the front lining unattached and adding a cording trim, the lined jacket gives the appearance of two jackets. The long pull over top with sleeves is simple in style and construction. The pull-on skirt has cording around the hemline to give it movement and detail, or it can be made without the cording for a more tailored look. Options:
Three options for the jacket: loose-lined, flat-lined
(both with patch pockets) and no lining with inseam pockets. Edge treatments
are bias binding, flat kimono style collar, covered cordings or facings.
Fabric
Suggestions:
Fabric that is soft and has movement. Knits, jerseys, woven medium weight fabrics
such as rayons, wools, cottons and blends. If loose lining is used for jacket
the fabrics should not cling to each other.
Notions:
Thread, 3/4" wide elastic.
Optional items include decorative braid and other trims - also 1/2" to
3/4" net-covered home dec cording, fiber fill or 1/8" cotton batting
to fill edge treatment strips.
