Most garment-weight fabrics are appropriate. Very lightweight fabrics may require
a soft and supple fusible backing for stability. Avoid stiff fabrics. Front
and back panels may be cut from contrasting fabric or be decorative: patchwork,
quilting, embroidery, manipulated fabric, applique, printed or painted. Use
your imagination to create a one of a kind garment. The lining should be color
coordinated with the outer fabric since the lining will show at the neckline
when the collar turns back.
