What you need to get started:

• A sweatshirt that fits you
• Paper & pens to trace shapes
• Collars - 2 widths of fabric 1/4 yd approx. 42" x 7", 32" x 9"
• Several 1/4 yds of good mix and match fabrics for appliqué
• 1 package (3 yds) single fold bias tape to match jacket
• matching threads
• A ruler, pencil or chalk
• Tiny buttons, fabric paints or markers to mark face
• 1 large feature button, 1 small button
• 1/2 yd Wonder Under or other paper-backed fusible webbing
• Iron, sharp scissors and sewing machine with zigzag
