Fabrics:
Light to medium weight fabrics: Japanese kimono fabrics, ikat, and other ethnic
and hand-woven fabrics, rayon, cotton, denim, silk noil. Facile or other synthetic
suede, wool. Avoid knits and stiff fabrics. Very light weight fabrics may require
a soft and supple fusible backing for stability.
No
allowance has been made for matching plaids. All sizes are printed full scale
on pattern tissue. Yardage is indicated for the basic short vest only, but not
for patchwork or other decorative treatments.
Notions:
Two 9" zippers, four
buttons, (four more for optional lining pocket flaps, and four for lining
tabs if used) thread. Optional: One 12" zipper for map pocket, two
Velcro dots for underarm pockets.
