Easy to Make...Comfy to Wear...Mix and Match Clothing. A short, simple buttoned jacket with small shawl collar, it can be made with a single layer of fabric and bias trim as a cardigan or 2 layers as a jacket (one side of optional brick piecing) with the edges of the jacket seamed or trimmed with bias.
Materials: Cardigan: 3 1/4 yds fabric (44" wide), 9 buttons, 2 pkg double fold extra wide bias tape or 2/3 yd fabric for self bias, thread.
Jacket: 3 1/4 yd fabric (44" wide) for Side 1, 3 1/4 yd fabric for Side 2 (or see Optional for piecing side 2), 9 buttons (9 extra if making jacket reversible), thread.
Optional: (Jacket) Fifteen 1/4 yd pieces of assorted fabrics (44" wide) for brick piecing Side 2, 2 yds thin cotton batting (interling), 2 pkg. double fold extra wide bias tape (or 2/3 yd fabric for self bias)
