The Frayed Jacket - A short, fully lined princess jacket with notched collar. It can be made with frayed or finished edges and with optional pockets, pocket flaps and back band. Fat quarter version can be finished to be reversible.
Suitable Fabrics: Cotton for the the frayed fat quarter jacket. Cotton twill was used for the tailored version. Linen, corduroy, tweed, wool and other woven fabrics would work as well.
Materials List:
Frayed/Tailored Jacket - 3 1/4 yd fabric (44" wide) or 2 1/2 yds (60" wide) fabric 1 1/2 yds (sz 4-10) or 2 1/4 yds (sz 12-22) 44" wide lining three 3/4" buttons (jacket front)
Fat Quarter Jacket - (44" wide fabric) 8 fat quarters fabric 3 1/4 yds coordinating fabric (lining and sleeves) three 3/4" buttons (3 extra if making jacket reversible)
Optional 2 yds thin cotton batting (interlining) Seven 1/2" buttons (pocket flaps and back detail)
