Celebrate your girlfriends with this fun appliqué! Perfect for embellishing the "Triple T's" shirt by L.J. Designs (coming soon), or stitch onto an existing garment or accessory. Dress these girlfriends with leftover scraps from other projects-a great way to recycle those small pieces.
Stitch and appliqué by machine: Create the girlfriend outlines using a straight stitch on your machine, then cut paper-doll style clothing by tracing the enclosed templates onto freezer paper, fusing, then stitching.
SUPPLIES: Base fabric, or item to be embellished Transdoodle fabric tracing paper, in color that will show on fabric Misty Fuse sheer fusible web (for fusing clothing onto girlfriends) Teflon appliqué pressing sheets Freezer paper Size 14 needle (ballpoint for knits, or topstitch for woven fabrics) Black ultra fine Sharpie permanent pen (for tracing clothing shapes) 25 or 30 wt. cotton or poly thread (black and white) for girlfriend outlines and stitching clothing Regular weight or bobbin weight thread for bobbin, to match top thread Optional: Chaco liner (for line touch-ups)
