Detailed Description

Close fitting straight skirt with an elastic waist and shaped hip that continues straight to the hem. Optional bias flounce for hem. Tight fitting tapered skirt has an elastic waist and shaped hip that tapers to hem. Close fitting, hip length, 3/4 sleeves or sleeveless tee has a jewel neckline or turtleneck and a shaped waistline. Optional ruching.

Suggested Fabrics: Taper Skirt and Tee need a 100% stretch knit fabric. A 4" square of fabric needs to stretch at least 7" in all directions. Cotton/Lycra, Rayon/Lycra, Stretch Velvet/Velour, Rayon blends. Straight skirt pattern can be used with non-stretch fabrics as well as Lycra blends but use a larger size.

Notions: thread, 1 yd 1" elastic for the skirt, 75/4.0mm stretch twin needle for topstitching OR #14 Ballpoint or 90/14 H-S for single needle topstitching.
